(2011 – 2026) For 15 years, I was responsible for the design and development of multiple SaaS applications for T2 Systems. T2 Iris (shown) is a large scale application that allows parking operators to manage nearly all aspects of their operations. It provides up-to-date data visualization through fully customizable dashboards, as well as real-time and scheduled reporting options. In addition, it enables users to set up their location operations, collection and maintenance routes, and customer accounts. It also allows alerts to be configured to help prevent unexpected interruptions as well as realt time tracking of the health of the hardware.

An online configuration application (not shown) was designed and developed to allow customers to configure their pay stations, from managing installed hardware to setting up available rates and scheduling when those rates apply. It also includes additional configuration options, along with the ability to preview how schedules will run on the devices.

I was involved in many other applications as well, including a single sign-on portal to connect multiple applications for users, a customer and user management system, tools for managing over-the-air hardware updates, electronic receipts, and file and data management. I also contributed to internal applications and features that enabled Support teams to more effectively manage and assist customers.

+ web sites

(2008 – 2011) At Black Press Media, responsibilities ranged from designing and developing core local newspaper sites to special event sites and new projects such as video sharing, daily deals, and local business directories.

Many sites were managed within a Newspaper CMS application. However, with knowledge of the underlying templating system, sites could move beyond the default templates, allowing fully custom designs while still enabling local newspapers to easily enter and manage stories using the CMS tools.

(1999 – 2008) At YellowPages, responsibilities were diverse. I began as a web designer building microsites for small business advertisers—typically 1–5 pages—with some sites needing to be completed in less than a day. Over time, responsibilities expanded to creating unique specialty sites for clients and partners, and eventually managing the design and development of key applications such as SuperPages.ca and YellowPages.ca, as well as internal applications and intranet sites for the organization.

(2004 – 2010) I helped develop portfolio sites for friends to showcase their work online. For many, I also created a management tool that allowed them to upload their work and customize thumbnails and details.

(2001 – 2010) Additional sites designed and developed for small local businesses.
